48 So Jesus said to him, k “ Unless you 1 see signs and wonders you will not believe. 47 When this man heard that Jesus j had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. ![]() And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill. Ĥ6 So he came again to h Cana in Galilee, i where he had made the water wine. ” 10 And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well. ” 9 When Jesus heard these things, h he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “ I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such i faith. 8 For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me : and I say to one, ‘ Go, ’ and he goes and to another, ‘ Come, ’ and he comes and to my servant, ‘ Do this, ’ and he does it. But g say the word, and let my servant be healed. 7 Therefore I did not presume to come to you. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “ Lord, f do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. 4 And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, d “ He is worthy to have you do this for him, 5 for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us e our synagogue. 3 When the centurion 2 heard about Jesus, c he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant. 2 Now a centurion had a servant 1 who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him. ħ After he had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, b he entered Capernaum. ” t And the servant was healed at that very moment. ” 13 And to the centurion Jesus said, “ Go let it be done for you s as you have believed. In that place r there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 11 I tell you, o many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12 p while the sons of the kingdom q will be thrown into the outer darkness. ” 10 When Jesus heard this, m he marveled and said to those who followed him, “ Truly, I tell you, with n no one in Israel 2 have I found such faith. And I say to one, ‘ Go, ’ and he goes, and to another, ‘ Come, ’ and he comes, and to my servant, 1 ‘ Do this, ’ and he does it. ![]() 9 For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. ” 8 But the centurion replied, “ Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but l only say the word, and my servant will be healed. ” 7 And he said to him, “ I will come and heal him. ![]() 5 k When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him, 6 “ Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.
